Well, the Fantasy Golf season is in full swing. It just two days a group of us will gather for our annual Fantasy Golf Auction. You may wonder how a Fantasy Golf Auction works? Every participant is given 100 points to choose 10 golfers. Like any auction you have an order as to who starts the bidding. They will choose which golfer they would like along with a point value for that golfer and then the bidding war starts until all participants have 10 golfers. This league will be based on total earnings for the seasons making it not very exciting to follow, but the key to winning is to pick guys that will be steady through out the year and guys that will pick up a couple wins for you.
This league is provided by Buzz Fantasy Leagues: http://buzzfantasyleagues.com/

This week is the Bob Hope Classic being held in La Quinta, CA at various courses. The host course, PGA West (Palmer Design), will serve as the final round venue on Sunday. This is a unique format as the players will play 90 holes this week in a pro am format.
My Yahoo Fantasy Golf Picks for this week:
Starting: Charley Hoffman, Bill Haas, Bubba Watson & Stewart Cink
Bench: Matt Kuchar, Pat Perez, Brendon de Jonge & Stewart Cink

In other golf news, Tiger Woods has made it official that he will start his 2011 campaign at next weeks Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego, CA. Tiger has won his last five tournaments at Torrey Pines and I look for this one to be no exception.
Tiger will need to get off to a fast start this year to quiet all of his critics. And nothing will do this more than by putting a 'W' on the board to start the season.
Tiger will take a week off after Torrey Pines before heading to Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
After Dubai don't expect to see Tiger until February 23-27 at the World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play Championship.
