After both players pared the first playoff hole (18th) they moved on to #1 where Bryd two putted for par. Robert Garrigus then missed a short 3 footer for par to move on to the next playoff hole giving Byrd the win.
Graeme McDowell, also known as G-Mac, finished one shot out of the playoff, at 23 under, after firing an 11 under 62, tying the course record.
Steve Stricker shot a 2 under par 71 after struggling most of the day with his putter. Sticker finished in a tie for fourth at 20 under par with Carl Pettersson.
The players will now hope on over to Honolulu for the Sony Open next week at Waialae Country Club. Waialae couldn't be anymore different than the Plantation Course at Kapalua. The players will battle a very flat and tree lines course this coming week.
Anyone coming over from Kapalua will enjoy the walk at Waialae much better!
